Historic Santa Claus Campground one of Lilly Endowment Grant Recipients of Capital Project Initiative for Residential Youth Camps
Historic Santa Claus Campground (HSCC) has received a $861,224 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. through its Capital Project Initiative for Residential Youth Camps. This is one of 69 implementation grants being awarded through phase 2 of the initiative, which aims to help Indiana residential youth camps improve the overall camp experience and outcomes for youth through new, enhanced and expanded facilities integral to quality youth camp programming.

The mission of the Historic Santa Claus Campground is to provide a safe, comfortable, spiritual facility where those who come can experience the presence of Christ in a real and personal way through recreational activities, study, worship, and Christian fellowship.

The Historic Santa Claus Campground is an 80 acre faith-based retreat and camping facility located in Santa Claus, Indiana, just minutes from Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari, Abraham Lincoln State and National Parks and Amphitheater, Santa’s Riding Stables, and Christmas Lake Golf Course.
Featured is an idyllic and peaceful setting that is available for spiritual retreats, group camping and family reunions. The campground has long been a favorite location for wedding ceremonies, in the iconic 140 year old, open-air tabernacle that was fully restored in 2014.
